Fiverr website vs WeBuildYours: what $100 gets you
A fair look at how a Fiverr website gig works and what $100 buys there and with us: fees, revisions, ownership, and what to check before you order.

The short answer
On Fiverr, $100 buys whatever the seller puts in that package, plus Fiverr’s service fee (5.5%, plus $3.50 on orders under $200), and the scope, revisions, and delivery time change from gig to gig. With WeBuildYours, $100 is always one page, live within 48 hours of a complete brief, with 2 revision rounds and every file yours.
Fiverr and WeBuildYours can both get you a website for about $100, but they work very differently. Fiverr is a marketplace where independent sellers set their own packages and prices. We’re one service with one fixed $100 offer. Neither is right for everyone, so here’s a fair look at both.
WeBuildYours isn’t affiliated with Fiverr. Everything below about how Fiverr works comes from Fiverr’s own Help Center, checked in October 2026.
How a Fiverr website gig works
- Sellers build their own packages. A gig can offer up to three tiers. Each has its own scope, number of revisions, delivery time, and price, all set by the seller.
- Prices start low. Fiverr’s minimum gig price is $5, and some categories have higher minimums. Gigs for a full WordPress website, for example, must start at $80.
- Extras cost extra. Sellers can sell add-ons like faster delivery, more revisions, and source files. If you don’t buy the source files, they can be offered to you for sale when the work is delivered.
- Fiverr adds a service fee. Its payments help page says the fee is 5.5% of the purchase plus $3.50 on orders under $200, so a $100 package comes to $109 before tax. Fees can change, so check the total at checkout, where Fiverr shows the fee before you pay.
- You have three days to review. After delivery you can accept the work, ask for a revision, or extend the review by up to 5 days. If you do nothing, the order completes automatically after three days, and a completed order can’t be canceled through Fiverr’s Resolution Center.

Quality varies from seller to seller
On a marketplace, the seller is the product. Fiverr itself suggests comparing portfolios, past work, and reviews across a few freelancers before you commit, and starting with a smaller order before a bigger project to test quality, communication, and reliability. That’s good advice for a website too: open the seller’s live sites on your phone, not just screenshots.
With us, there’s one fixed offer, and every site on our work page is live, so you can open it on your phone before you pay.
Communication
On Fiverr, you talk to the seller through Fiverr’s inbox. Some gigs ask you to send a request to order first, and Fiverr then shows the seller’s average response time. Sellers can be anywhere in the world, so ask when they’re usually available.
With us, you fill in one intake form, and you send revision rounds from your dashboard.
Ownership: check it before you order
A website isn’t just a design file. It’s the code, the hosting, and the domain, and you need control of all three.
- Rights to the work. Fiverr’s page on its commercial use license says that when you buy one, the rights to the delivery are assigned to you unless the gig page clearly says otherwise. A "Commercial Use - 1 Year" license only covers 12 months. Read the gig page for exceptions.
- Source files. These can be a paid extra on Fiverr. For a website, the source files are the site, so make sure they’re included.
- The domain. Register it yourself, in your own name. ICANN treats the registrant as the person responsible for the domain, including keeping the account and payment details current.
- Hosting. Ask where the site will live, whose account it’s in, and what it costs each year.
With us, you get every file, login, and setting at handoff, and the domain and hosting are in your name.
What to check before you buy either
- Exactly what’s in the package: pages, sections, and platform
- How many revision rounds, and what counts as one
- The delivery time, and what has to happen before it starts
- The total at checkout, including any fees
- The domain will be registered in your name
- Where the site is hosted, in whose account, and what it costs each year
- You get the source files and every login
- The refund terms
- Live sites you can open on your phone
When Fiverr is a fine choice
- You know exactly what you want. A precise brief makes any marketplace work better.
- You need a specific platform. If you want someone who works only in WordPress, for example, you can compare sellers who specialize in it.
- You’re happy to manage the project. Comparing sellers, writing the brief, and checking the work are on you.
- The job is small and well defined. Fixing a section, setting up a form, or a one-off design task.
When WeBuildYours is the better fit
- You want one page done properly, at a price that doesn’t change: $100 flat.
- You want the terms in writing before you start: live within 48 hours of a complete brief, 2 revision rounds, every file yours.
- You want help after launch without finding a new seller: optional maintenance starts at $20 a month.
- You need more than one page: bigger sites, stores, and apps get a free fixed quote within one business day.

Common questions
How much does a website cost on Fiverr?
Sellers set their own prices. Fiverr’s minimum gig price is $5, full WordPress website gigs must start at $80, and Fiverr adds a 5.5% service fee plus a small-order fee on cheaper orders at checkout.
Do I own a website I buy on Fiverr?
It depends on the gig. If you buy a commercial use license, Fiverr says the rights are assigned to you unless the gig page clearly says otherwise, and source files can be a paid extra. Ask for the source files, every login, and the domain in your name before you order.
What happens if I don’t respond after a Fiverr delivery?
Fiverr completes the order automatically three days after delivery if you don’t accept it, ask for a revision, or extend the review. After that, it can’t be canceled through the Resolution Center.
How is WeBuildYours different from a Fiverr gig?
Our $100 offer is fixed: one page, live within 48 hours of a complete brief, with 2 revision rounds, and you own every file. On Fiverr, each seller sets their own scope, revisions, delivery time, and price.
