The short answer
Having a one-page website built costs anywhere from under $100 on a marketplace like Fiverr to a few thousand dollars at a studio, or $17 to $19 a month on the cheapest paid Wix or Squarespace yearly plans if you build it yourself. With WeBuildYours it’s $100 flat, and the first year usually comes to about $111 once you add an $11 .com domain, since a one-page site can usually be hosted for free.
A one-page website is the smallest complete website: one scrolling page that says what you do, shows proof, and makes it easy to call, book, or buy. Because the job is small, the price depends almost entirely on who does it and what they include.
Here’s what each option costs as of October 2026, with the source for every number.
One-page website prices by option
| Option | What one page costs | Where the number comes from |
|---|---|---|
| DIY builder | $17 to $19 a month on the cheapest paid yearly plans, so $204 to $228 for the first year | Wix Light is $17 a month and Squarespace Basic is $19 a month, billed yearly |
| Fiverr-style gig | Whatever the seller charges, plus Fiverr’s service fee | Gigs start at $5, and full WordPress website gigs must start at $80, per Fiverr’s Help Center |
| Freelancer | Roughly $150 to $400 or more | Upwork lists $15 to $40 or more an hour for a basic one-page site, and says to expect from 10 hours for a very small design project |
| Small studio or agency | A few thousand dollars for most projects, within a typical range of $2,000 to $100,000 | Clutch says web design agencies typically charge $2,000 to $100,000, or around $100 to $149 an hour, and that most projects reviewed on its site cost a few thousand dollars, under $10,000 |
| WeBuildYours | $100 flat | Live within 48 hours of a complete brief, 2 revision rounds included, and you own every file |
A few notes on reading the table:
- Builder prices are for yearly plans. Squarespace Basic is $25 a month if you pay monthly. Wix lists yearly prices and recommends yearly or multi-year plans for the best value. Neither price includes tax.
- A builder plan is a subscription, not a purchase. You pay for every year you keep the site, and you do the building and writing yourself.
- Fiverr adds a fee at checkout. Its payments help page lists 5.5% of the purchase plus $3.50 on orders under $200. We compare a $100 gig with our $100 page in Fiverr website vs WeBuildYours.
- Clutch’s numbers cover web design projects of every size, not one-page sites in particular. Ask any studio or agency for a price for one page.
What changes the price of one page
Who writes the words. Writing is often the slowest part. Send finished text and you save time. Ask the builder to write it and you’re paying for that work. With us, the writing is included in the $100 if you want it.
A template or a custom design. A template filled in with your details is quicker than a layout designed around your business.
What the page has to do. A phone number and a contact form are simple. A booking calendar, payments, or a menu that changes every week add work, and sometimes a monthly subscription to another service.
Revision rounds. A fixed number of rounds keeps the price fixed. Ours includes 2, and extra rounds are $39 each.
Speed and search setup. A fast page with proper titles, descriptions, and structured data takes care to build. Google’s Core Web Vitals guidance on web.dev says the main content should load within 2.5 seconds for a good experience. Our free website check tests any page for speed, mobile setup, and search basics.
What happens after launch. Some prices include hosting or changes, many don’t. Ask before you pay.
First-year totals, side by side
The build is only part of the bill. Here’s the first year with the domain and hosting added, using the prices above.
| Setup | First year | What’s in it |
|---|---|---|
| WeBuildYours, free hosting | About $111 | $100 build, plus $11.08 for a .com at Porkbun, with hosting on a free plan such as Netlify’s |
| WeBuildYours plus Basic maintenance | About $351 | The same, plus $20 a month for updates, backups, monitoring, and 30 minutes of changes a month |
| Wix Light, yearly | $204 | Hosting is in the plan, and the domain is free for the first year |
| Squarespace Basic, yearly | $228 | Hosting is in the plan, and the domain is free for the first year |
| Freelancer, one page | About $160 to $410 or more | Upwork’s rough range plus a .com, before hosting |
The second year is where they split. A site you own costs about $11 a year for the domain while the hosting stays free. A builder charges the plan price again, plus the domain once the free year ends. Wix, for example, renews a .com at $21.35 a year. We run the three-year numbers in Wix vs a $100 website.
When one page is enough
One page usually does the job when:
- You offer one main service, or a few closely related ones
- You want visitors to do one thing: call, book, or ask for a quote
- Customers decide quickly and don’t need to compare lots of options
- You’re starting out and want to learn what customers ask before building more
Plumbers, cleaners, photographers, consultants, and cafes often fit here. Our guide to landing pages versus full websites walks through the choice by type of business.
When you need more than one page
You’ve outgrown one page when:
- You have several very different services, each with its own prices and questions
- You want each service to rank in Google for its own searches (see how to write service pages that rank)
- You plan to publish articles or news regularly
- You need an online store, customer accounts, or bookings with real logic behind them
With us, bigger sites, stores, and apps get a free fixed quote within one business day, so you know the full price before anything starts.
How to keep the cost of one page down
- Send a complete brief. Our 48 hours start once we have your payment and a complete brief. Here’s what to prepare.
- Register the domain yourself, in your own name. That way it stays yours, whoever builds the site.
- Use free hosting. A one-page site can usually be hosted for free.
- Batch your changes. Send all your feedback for a round together, so 2 rounds go further.
- Only add maintenance if you’ll use it. Our plans are optional and start at $20 a month for one-page sites. See maintenance plans.

Common questions
What does a $100 one-page website include?
With WeBuildYours: one page designed for your business, with your services, photos, a contact or booking button, basic search setup, and the writing if you want us to do it. It goes live within 48 hours of a complete brief, includes 2 revision rounds, and you own every file.
Is hosting really free for a one-page site?
Usually, yes. A single page needs very little, and hosts such as Netlify and Cloudflare Pages have free plans that work with your own domain. If you ever need a paid plan, you pay the host directly.
Do I have to pay every month for a one-page website?
Not for a site you own. A .com domain costs about $11 to $22 a year depending on where you buy it, hosting is usually free for one page, and maintenance is optional. Builders like Wix and Squarespace charge for every month you keep a paid plan, billed monthly or a year at a time.
Can a one-page website rank on Google?
Yes, for your main service and area, if it’s fast, clearly written, and has proper titles and descriptions. More pages give you more chances to rank for more specific searches, which is one reason growing businesses add pages later.
